Attorney Tommy Fibich Scheduled to Speak at Opioid Summit

Attorney Tommy Fibich will be speaking at Responding to the Opioid Crisis: Litigation, Regulation, & Reform. The event is presented by the Insight Exchange Network and will be taking place at The Union League of Philadelphia from April 16-17, 2018.

Featured speakers include Andrew Kolody, Co-Director of the Opioid Policy Research Collaborative, and Gary Tuggle, of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Philadelphia Division. Mr. Kolodny will share his valuable research on and experiences with the opioid crisis. Mr. Tuggle will walk attendees though the latest DEA developments and expectations.

The industry event covers both sides of opioid litigation, plaintiff and defense, to help attendees customize their learning experiences. The goal of the event is to set aside political and biased information by delivering a truly educational experience. Those in attendance will get unbiased information about opioid litigation and regulation. Representatives from municipalities and pharma companies will speak about their challenges, responses, and crisis containment strategies as well.

In addition to litigation strategies and advice, attendees will hear first-hand how law enforcement agencies and drug task force units are responding to the opioid crisis. Guests will also hear directly from the DEA about their specific plans to combat the opioid crisis.

Attorney Tommy Fibich will be speaking on the perspective of the plaintiff in a panel titled “Cause of Action.” He will cover theories on negligence and FDA preemption, securing your legal position, gathering evidence and facts, and prepping clients and presentation materials. He will also speak about how counties municipalities, hospitals, and law enforcement can support your position. Mr. Fibich will be speaking on Day One of the event from 2:00- 2:45pm.
