Attorney Erin Copeland Speaks at Emory Law Next Generation Conference

Attorney Erin Copeland of Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs spoke this week on “Getting Selected for Leadership” at the Next Generation Conference hosted by the Institute for Complex Litigation and Mass Claims at Emory Law in Atlanta. Erin Copeland, along with senior members of the federal judiciary and other notable attorneys from both the Plaintiffs and Defense bar, was invited to speak at the program whose mission is to expand upon the depth, breadth, and diversity of the complex litigation bar. This prestigious event provides established practitioners and judges the opportunity to counsel lawyers at all levels of practice in complex litigation.

Erin Copeland is an accomplished attorney in the mass tort arena serving on both the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Pradaxa federal MDL pending in the Southern District of Illinois as well as the federal pelvic mesh MDL pending in the Southern District of West Virginia. Attorney Copeland was also the only female appointed by the Honorable David Herndon to serve as a state-federal liaison counsel in the Pradaxa MDL. Attorney Copeland currently manages the pelvic mesh and Essure permanent control dockets for Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs. She is the only female partner at her firm.

Erin is a Native Texan. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. She was recently honored with admission to practice law in the United States Supreme Court.
