About Roundup

Roundup is the most used herbicide in the world. Manufactured by Monsanto, Roundup offers a great variety of weed killers, some of which are designed for professional use, while others are distributed for at-home gardening.

The main ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate, has been studied by several organizations to determine whether or not it could be dangerous to humans. The International Agency for Research on Cancer, a division of the World Health Organization, listed glyphosate as a “probable” carcinogen in 2015, and it has since been banned in several locations.

Monsanto Lawsuits

Several individuals have filed lawsuits against Monsanto for the creation and sale of dangerous Roundup products. These lawsuits claim that the company knowingly sold, and continues to sell, products that they know to be unsafe and carcinogenic. To date, thousands of lawsuits have been filed, several of which were on behalf of groundskeepers, gardeners, and other workers who came in direct contact with the dangerous weed killer daily.

Recently, a federal jury pronounced Monsanto responsible for a San Francisco man’s development of cancer. The case involved Edwin Hardeman, who claims he developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup weed killer for 26 years to control the overgrowth on his property. In another California case, Monsanto was ordered to pay $80 million in damages to an individual who developed cancer after working as a groundskeeper for several years.

There are currently more than 11,000 other individuals suing Monsanto for the damaging and dangerous effects of Roundup weed killer.
